Children's classes, workshops, camp, and birthday party registration terms

Participation requires releasing The Painted Pot Inc from liability regarding activities at the studio. Accepting these terms is a precondition to participating in session events and activities.

The Painted Pot is organized for mutual enjoyment while learning pottery wheel, pottery painting, canvas painting, mosaics, and glass fusion. Each participant is responsible for their own actions.

Parents and caregivers assume responsibility and liability for their child's behavior and actions, including damage to pottery, tools, wheels, brushes, and related materials deemed unusable as a result of behavior.

Art materials can be hazardous if ingested. Materials are non-toxic, but eating and drinking while working is not permitted. The Painted Pot is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property.

The Painted Pot may use photographs, audio, or video taken at activities and deemed in good taste for publicity or promotion.

Full-day session attendees may accompany staff and other attendees to a local playground for outdoor activity breaks, depending on weather and activity needs.

For school pickup, parents release The Painted Pot Inc from liability regarding transportation from school to the studio. Staff may use walking, subway, or buses depending on distance and weather, while making every reasonable effort to ensure safety.

Class cancellation made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled start date will be eligible to receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the scheduled start date will receive a 50% virtual credit that is valid for 6 months from issuance.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class start will not be eligible for refund or credit. Once class begins, refunds, credits, transfers, and deferrals are not available. To request cancellation of a class, email pottery@paintedpot.com.

One missed class may be made up by attending a comparable class within the same semester, subject to space and teacher permission. Make-ups are offered as a courtesy and are not guaranteed.

If class is cancelled due to weather or pandemic, credit only will be given. The Painted Pot is not responsible for providing make-up classes or reimbursements for classes changed or missed due to illness, pandemic, emergency, weather closings, substitute teachers, or events beyond studio control.
